Silver Carlsson (formerly known as Hans Carlsson) is an artist and writer based in Malmö and Berlin. They have studied art at the art academies in Rennes and Malmö and at Konstfack – University of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm, and creative writing at Skurups folkhögskola and Författarskolan Biskops Arnö. They obtained their bachelor degree in comparative literature from the Södertörn University in Stockholm. Carlsson's art has been shown at places such as the Harun Farocki Institute (Berlin), Malmö Art Museum, Tensta konsthall and Signal: Center For Contemporary Art (Malmö). Their film and video installation piece HESTIA is since 2021 part of the Malmö Art Museum’s collection. As a critic, they have written critique, interviews and essays for magazines such as Kunstkritkk, ArtReview, Berlin Art Link, Art India, Ord&Bild, Point of View/TriArt Film and Expressen. Carlsson have also curated exhibitions for, among other places, Lunds konsthall and Skånes konstförening (Malmö).
