Film, 39’20’’, 2022.
Unreadable Future is an essay film taking the format of an imaginary video letter to a future where all letter systems (including the Latin alphabet) has ceased to exist. The narrator, presenting footage from diverse sources, dwells upon questions of the power of alphabetic representation, the history of the Greek alphabet and the taxonomy of Atlantic hurricanes.
Partly filmed in Greece thanks to generous support from The Swedish Art Grants Committee and the Helge Ax:son Johnsons Foundation.
